Montessori Programmes

10 week-term based on local school calendar

Our curriculum is focused on the philosophy of Montessori education integrated with the learning perspectives set forth by the Ministry of Education. Our aim in the two continuous years at its minimum that the child spends with us is to lead him or her through a carefully graduated scale of learning. This graduated scale of learning includes learning to listen carefully, to observe and to form these ideas imaginatively and creatively with his/her developing cognitive skills.

The final year is normally at six years of age but this is governed by the birth date of the child and whether he/she enters the American or British system. This late, most important period is spent refining a well prepared, confident child who will start school with every advantage that careful individual attention from skilled professionals can create.

A variety of programmes based on an integrated thematic curriculum are offered and designed to cater to the needs and individual stages of growth and development of each child.

The comprehensive curriculum includes an hour of daily Mandarin session taught by certified early childhood teachers from China.

BIG BROTHERS AND SISTERS CONCEPT

While the classes benefit from a structured approach, we are committed to the Montessori-type age integrated approach that cultivates a special authentic feature of the kindergarten. The vertical setting of ages coming as one fosters strongly on caring attitude towards others that characterized MMMW students.

The concept of Big Brothers and Big Sisters fosters maturity and a responsible attitude in our children and to this end, the groups are paired according to a carefully planned schedule. Time together is important, as is time to progress alone. This concept leads to the development of love and responsibility into the child with siblings in his/her family for the same reason.
